Hartford and Stony Brook Rally For Wins Tuesday

Erica Beverly played a key role in Hartford's 56-52 win at Vermont Tuesday night, collecting a crucial defensive rebound with 30 seconds left, and then hitting 2 free-throws with 5.6 seconds remaining to seal the victory. It ended up being a bittersweet night for the Catamounts, who saw junior May Kotsopoulos score her 1,000th career night and junior Courtnay Pilypaitis dish out her 400th career assist. Sophomore Mary Silvia sparked the Hawks' 12-point comeback in the second half with 13 points and 3 three-pointers. Beverly finished with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Hartford senior Katie Kelley hit the go-ahead jumper, while finishing with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Sophomore Misha Horsey led the Stony Brook Seawolves to their first league win of the year, 64-56 over Albany.
