Agganis Arena Hosts The First Women's Game of 2009

The battle of the "BU"s-- Boston University and Binghamton University-- is scheduled for this afternoon at 4:30 in Agganis Arena. It will be the first of two games the Terriers will play at the Commonwealth Ave facility during the 2008-09 season. Boston U. is trying to keep up with the Hartford Hawks, who moved to 3-0 last night, in the standings, while Binghamton enters the game with a 1-1 mark in conference play. After a week off, Stony Brook goes into Patrick Gym tonight to face preseason league favorite Vermont. The Catamounts are coming off a loss to the Terriers on the road Saturday and sit at 1-1 in the America East standings. For Vermont, junior May Kotsopoulos is 54 points away from the 1,000 point mark, while senior Amy Rosenkrantz is 89 points shy.


Binghamton at Boston University (Agganis Arena) 4:30 p.m.
These teams split the season series last year, with each team winning on its home court... The Terriers rank first in the league with a .405 field goal percentage, while the Bearcats lead America East with a .360 three-point field goal percentage.

Stony Brook at Vermont 7 p.m.
The Catamounts won both games with the Seawolves in 07-08... Both teams in this game have quick hands, as they rank first and second in the conference with Vermont averaging 9.3 steals and Stony Brook grabbing 9.2 steals per game.
